    Smile change gnome to kde

    Hi all,

    I'm newbie for opensuse, i just install my open suse at laptop with gnome as desktop, now i want to change it to kde dekstop,how can i do that from my existing gnome?

    If you have the KDE packages installed, of course.
    On GDM Login choose your session as KDE and login. Easy as that. Other Desktop Environments or window managers are also available from the Session menu on the bottom.

    YaST > Software > Software Management. Choose Patterns (above).
    From the patterns select KDE Basic System and KDE Desktop Environment, install.

    Now you have KDE beside Gnome. On your login page (better to switch off autologin, else you will not see your login page) there is a button lower left where yoy can choose which DE you want to use for the moment. You can switch between each login.
