Default drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -22. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info.

With opensuse11.2 I am getting following error while running openGL apps:

drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -22. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info.

I think this is problem with radeon drivers. Is there solution to this? Tnx

I am having the same issue...

When calling "glxgears", I also get:
drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -22. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info.

Conqueror (sysinfo:/) recognizes RV630 [Radeon HD 2600XT] from ATI Technologies Inc, but the driver is unknown...

If I try to download driver:
    sudo zypper in ati-fglrxG02-kmp-desktop

I get warning that the checksum doesn't match:
    b3389bae3b3831b795fa0d9e3a5f7e8020df700b instead of expected 218837db3907ae3bed8b61c252c1c775d99b65d5

    Any help appreciated?

    Update ...

Before I had openSuSe 11.1 than I have installed openSuSe 11.2 and the message start appearing when launching openGL apps. I am not sure when exactly (was it just after open suse 11.2 installation or after some online update later). I saw that in boot screen I have possibility to boot 11.1 (I do not know why) so I reinstalled 11.2 version but with formating (erasing) all drives. After that openGL applications worked fine. I do not know reason for all this but I am glad that now is working. I just hope it will not stop

    Update...

My last message is not correct. I would like to delete it so that other users are not confused but do not know how (no edit button).

I still have same problem . Here are some pastes:
    Paste-It.net
    Paste-It.net
Maybe someone could conclude something from them.

    Hello,

    Same here.

OpenSuSE 11.2 x86, ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT, using radeon driver.
    I used: sax2 -r -m 0=radeon to create the xorg.conf.

    kernel:
    kernel-desktop-2.6.31.12-0.2.1.i586

    lspci :
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV630 [Radeon HD 2600XT]

    glxgears:
drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -22. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info.

I upgraded to Mesa-7.8.1-17.1.i586, to see if it would be better, but still the same.

I don't see infos in dmesg, nor in Xorg.0.log, I can post them if desired.
    [ 57.846123] [drm] Initialized drm 1.1.0 20060810
    [ 57.850706] [drm] Initialized radeon 1.31.0 20080528 for 0000:01:00.0 on minor 0

    [ 58.074034] [drm] Resetting GPU
[ 58.074091] [drm] writeback test succeeded in 1 usecs
Was working fine with proprietary driver, but wanted to try radeon.
    Any help would be appreciated

In Xorg.0.log, after looking at it more carefully, I noticed these:

    (--) PCI:*(0:1:0:0) 1002:9588:1043:01c4 rev 0, Mem @ 0xd0000000/268435456, 0xfe9
    e0000/65536, I/O @ 0x0000d000/256, BIOS @ 0x????????/131072
    And something I don't understand:
(II) RADEON(0): Output: DVI-1, Detected Monitor Type: 1
    [...]
(II) RADEON(0): Output: DVI-0, Detected Monitor Type: 0
    Unhandled monitor type 0
    [...]
(II) AIGLX: Screen 0 is not DRI2 capable
I have only 1 screen, then why does he see 2 ?
