    Question VBox+Suse X64?.....

Has anyone successfully installed the x64 on VBox? Is there a different way to install the x64, because I don't think VBox can process this version. The few problems I have are:

    1) it freezes during Auto Configuration.
    2) freezes during boot initialization.
    3) after reboot it keeps prompting me to complete a failed install, and doesn't matter if I accept to complete or not, I have the same problem.
    4) freezes randomly executing system programs.

    the x32 installed successfully...

Is this something I need to post over at VBox also?

This problem is there for quite some time now. In fact, I tried it when oS11.2 was just out. (Unfortunately, I didn't file any bug).

I guess they haven't fixed this one yet. It's a bug.

You'll probably find that the 32-bit Opensuse will install in a VirtualBox just fine. If not, post back (provide details of your hardware and host environment) and we'll look at it in more depth.

Still there as of VB 3.1.2. I'm having a problem with getting the 3.1.4
update to install on 11.1 so I can't speak to that. 11.1 32-bit and 11.2
32-bit both work (caveat: 11.2 works as well as it does native so don't
expect perfection - KDE works to a degree).

    Question Re: VBox+Suse X64?.....

THanks everyone for the reply! x32 is working fine, except maybe you can tell me why it seems to sleep on me in VBox when I have turned off the Screen Saver and Power Control Options.

Let's say after about 15 to 45 mins. I click on the Start Menu to do some stuff it takes a moment to kick in. After that it's fine.

It does this randomly between the 3 VBox VM I have running. It seems? does this when I don't have any apps open.

ALso I put my OS spec's in my Signature.
