    Default System Update

    Hello there,

I'm having a problem with updating the system and most of my installed software,
my update source only contain two entry's

    1. one for mozila firefox witch couldn't be found till i reinstalled the program.
wich points to URL: Index of /repositories/mozilla/openSUSE_11.2

    1. one for OpenSuse 11.2-0
      wich points to URL: cd:///

    Please check the screen shot

Now every time i try to check for update using the Update applet
    i get
    no updates available

and that happen about 2 second after pressing "Check now" wich isn't a normal thing

it starts to happen after i was trying to install a new packages
when i selected the update source to be cd
I hope i don't have to reinstall the system (again)

Why don't you add OSS, Non-OSS and Update-Repo? Maybe packman too?

    Just click "add" and follow...

    Ok

i clicked "add" then a long list comes up
    but with no
    OSS, Non-OSS and Update-Repo packman

    i have selected community Repositories

ok i see what you mean now

    i have selected the following

    1. Main Repositories (Non-Open Source Software Addon repository).

    1. Main repository (OSS) of openSUSE 11.2 including only Open Source Software.

    1. Latest stable OpenOffice.org release.

    1. VideoLan Software Repository (i've installed VLC player).

    1. Packman Software Repository (I don't know what is that).

    1. Main update repository

I want to provide update source for Mono Project (Mono Develop 2)

Packman can be considered as "multimedia repo"
Just disable the videolan repo and change VLC to the version of packman. It's the better choice.

I don't know what to do with Mono, but have a look at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/ there are 2 mono repos. Perhaps one fits your choice?

The updater-applet only checks for new packages in the "update"-repo by default anyway, doesn't it?

[By the way: there's no need to use those huge fonts here...]

    ok i'll go with that

    Index of /repositories/Mono:/MonoDevelop/openSUSE_11.2

but what is the different between .repo and .ymp??

i noted that the .ymp is a xml file and i think the ,repo is the Repository file but how to instal it ??

by the way why Firefox doesn't has an Update option??
the update applet Insist to update to version 3.5.7 while i have firefox 3.6.0 installed ??

    Yast - software management
Please do this on the Mozilla repo (switch system packages)
ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

That image shows it being done on kde, you need to select mozilla
    Leap 15.1_KDE
