Default Application to capture Desktop Video...

    Good people,

Anyone knows of a video capturing tool for Linux that can work like FRAPS in Windows? Basically capture a window or full workspace in video.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

There's recordmydesktop that comes in qt and gtk styles (recordmydesktop-qt and recordmydesktop-gtk, respectively).

Another one is xvidcap which I feel seems to work a lot more smoother and allows you to adjust the record area before recording. This is also in the packman repository.

    Take Care,

    Ian
