Konqueror Case-sensitive problems

Hi… I’ve got a HUGE problem… though if I named a folder ‘HUGE’ konqueror would auto rename it ‘huge’

and there-in lies my problem.

I bought the nintendo DS iplayer, and I installed it’s system OS.

however it requires that inorder to do aANYTHING in it’s system (like watch movies or listen to music.) you have to have seperate that music and videos into said respective folders.

the folders need to be called:

VIDEO

and

MUSIC

the names can’t be changed and they must be case sensitive. HOWEVER konqueror won’t allow this name change.

is there any way I can force konqueror to allow a folder with it’s name in all caps? thanks.

cause untill I can fix this I can’t get iplayer working…

I haven’t seen such a problem with konqueror.
What is your openSUSE and KDE versions?
Also, on later KDE versions, you can use Dolphin instead of Konqueror.

sorry, maybe i don’t understand but it seems to me once you have
mounted the MicroSD card it is just a matter of

-opening Konqueror
-set it to two pane mode
-navigate in one pane to see /[path to SD card]/MUSIC (or VIDEO)
-navigate in the other pane to see your music/video source files
-drag and drop your music or video files at will

i said don’t understand because i see no way konqueror will try to
change the case of anything in the path or file name…

does that help? or am i totally confused???

I have tried to replicate your problem without success.I already have a Music folder and Konqueror did not object to me creating a new folder called MUSIC and moving files into it.
