Kopete keeps crashing and crashing all the day

Hi everybody.

Just that, kopete keeps crashing and crashing all the day like two times per hour, in my two lappys.

My Aspire one with openSUSE at 32bits, and my HP with openSUSE at 64bits.

Both, has this kde config:

alex@altair:~> kde4-config -v
Qt: 4.5.3
KDE: 4.3.5 (KDE 4.3.5) "release 2"
kde4-config: 1.0

This is the crash log:

Hi again!

I did that the other day, and did that again today, download the updates, but nothing… still crashing with the same error …

I only have two accounts, WLM and Jabber with Google Talk.

Whats happening?

I have the same kde4 as you and no problem.
If you can’t even open kopete, first thing I would try is remove the config files and start fresh with it, just cut them away and put them in a remote folder or something so you can put them back if we establish it is not the config. You need to remove the following folder:

.kde4/share/apps/kopete

And the following file:

.kde4/share/config/kopeterc

If when you start kopete now it behaves the same, we need to look deeper at your system. If it starts though, this time don’t add MSN account.
Install and use kmess for MSN

Hi again…

The problem just continues… No matter what i do… I have bailout to Pidgin that works rock solid.

:frowning:

Thanks for all your help.
