Default "cannot find page" error: can't install anything.

I hate that my first post to the forums here is a support question. I hoped I could say "hi" in the Something other than support sub forum first.

anyway I'm new to openSUSE and am having problems installing new packages. I haven't found a solution with google or the search box here at at the forum.

Every time I try to install something I get a series of "cannot find page" errors after the package downloads.

It doesn't seem to matter whether it's a one click install, downloaded rpm package or directly through Yast.

When I installed OpenSUSE I kept my /home partition from Ubuntu. Is there possibly some leftover config files mucking things up?

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

Are you actually saying you don't have a live internet on your system?

No, I have internet and it is working just fine. The only time I get the error is when trying to install a package. Is shows up after the package downloads.

here is a copy of the error I get.

Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: warning: /var/cache/zypp/packages/Packman Repository/i586/libxine1-codecs-1.1.17-1.pm.24.4.i586.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 9a795806

    It repeats several more times.

What is strange, sometimes after I get this message and click on abort, I find that the application was installed anyway.

    I'm totally confused.

I'm out of time this morning and have to leave for work. I will post the screen shot tonight.

However, do you think any of this is caused by the /home that I kept from Ubuntu?

All my important data is backed up, if a reformat of the hard drive and reinstall is the easiest solution, I would rather do that now before we dig too deep into the problem.

    Seems unlikely
You could create a new user and see if that is different, but I doubt it.

I'll look out for your post later.

Will that command do something with the repository list? I've noticed the error message always pertains to the pacman repo.
I thought about deleting and reinstalling it.

I'm posting from my blackberry at work now. Will try your command when I go home at noon.
