    Default vmware installation problem

    Hi
    i have installed vmware server free from rpm and xhen i run the script ./usr/bin/vmware-config.pl i get the message :

    Server does not install on 11.2. Sorry, and I have not
    yet seen a workaround to make it work.

    VMware needs to update its installation to support newer kernels but they
    have not done so and I don't actually anticipate they will. Server seems to
    be dying on the vine in lieu of their for pay versions.

    Version 2 might work (unless that's the one you are trying), but for my uses
    it's rubbish. VMware Workstation 7 does work, but it is a paid version.

    Maybe look into Xen, Virtual box or one of the other freebies.

    Also looks like you have to be running 64bit.

    That'd be a no. It's only for the 2.x version.
