An update brokes the keyboard and kwin

Hi!

Today, i update my opensuse 11.2 and kwin is gone, it says it’s could not recover from the crash, under kde the keyboard not responding, now i can use only icewm :frowning:

Boot like this and remove the kde backports and playground repos

Level 3 Boot and Yast - Windows Live

When you quit yast do this at the cli

zypper dup

and finally

mv .kde4 .kde4-old

reboot

Meantime i found the solution: I uninstall and reinstall the propietary ati driver, and boom! everything worked as usual :smiley:

Sould i do this after every kernel update ?

If you installed it manually - Yes
But if from the repos it should be OK
