    Default Creating system image

    Does anyone know how to create a System Image so that you can just reload the system in case of a failure?
    Hmmmm I wonder how long before im good at this????????????

    I create a system image of my boot and root partitions.

    Code:
    # sudo dd if=/dev/sda1 of=~/boot.img
    # sudo dd if=/dev/sda3 of=~/root.img
    #
    # bzip2 boot.img
    # bzip2 root.img
    Prepare disks and then redeploy with dd in reverse.

    I saw that.
    If the community only want to address current date topics, I might suggest the forum automatically delete or archive threads more than 1 or 2 years old. Maybe worthy suggestion..
    This thread for example came up at the top on Google Search which is why I replied to it.

    There is a forum for suggestions, but AFAIK threads are not deleted.

    Yep, but the person that posted the question may not be reading... I'm
    only pointing out that maybe you would better try to help current
