    Default can't remove hsqldb

hsqldb was installed as a dependency along with another piece of software that I have since removed through yast2.
However, when trying to remove hsqldb I get the following error in yast2.

Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: JAVA_EXECUTABLE or HSQLDB_JAR_PATH in '/etc/hsqldb.conf' is set to a non-file.
    ..failed
error: %preun(hsqldb-1.8.0.10-3.4.noarch) scriptlet failed, exit status 1

Anybody know what this is and how I can remove this piece of software?

    try adding --force
    to the end

    Code:
    rpm -e hsqldb --force
    If that doesn't work do

    Code:
    rpmdb --rebuilddb
    Try again
