chromium suse 11.1 libv8.so.1 64bit

I tried to install chromium by contrib factory repo but it ask me libv8.so.1, where I can find it?? I tried in rpmbone and somewhere on google but nothing

I saw those msgs last week when I installed 11.1 on my new laptop. I looked around a little and saw that there’s an “official” beta out now for linux so I didn’t worry about the dependency issue.

Google Chrome - Download a new browser

looks like you have chromium from this repository
/repositories/openSUSE:/Factory:/Contrib/openSUSE_11.1
it has an
chromium-4.0.223.2-2.1

but
this reposiory
/repositories/home:/jhaygood:/branches:/openSUSE:/Factory:/Contrib/openSUSE_11.1/
has
chromium-4.0.270.0-2.1
I have same problem like you when switch from dbuck repository when package was named chromium-browser

I’'m still confused why you wouldn’t just download google chrome from the official website

Thanks didencool, your repo succeed, chromium is installed.

to dedguy21: 1)because chromium show movies on youtube out of the box and chrome not
2) chromium is opensource and community work and I like to use the work of community and contribute to it (when possible from above of my more than lowest competence)
3) more than 4 browser are useful, why use only one or two or three or four?

to run flash in google-chrome
you need to link browser-plugins directory

sudo ln -s /usr/lib(64)/browser-plugins /opt/google/plugins

WBR

I made this
sudo ln -s /usr/lib64/browser-plugins /opt/google/plugins
restarted chrome
movies doesn’t work
and this
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/browser-plugins /opt/google/plugins
restarted chrome
movies doesn’t work
of course I check if the link was there and point the proper folder
another trick or folder?

You need to use:
google-chrome --enable-plugins

I’ve tried it with Adobe Flash 64 bits and is running ok.
