Default Can Not Lock KDE Screen

This morning I upgraded from 10.3 to 11.2 using the upgrade method. After the upgrade I find that I can not lock the KDE Screen by pressing CTRL-ALT-L or by pressing the Lock Screen button.

After searching I found that xscreensaver was not started. I started that, and it's made no difference whatsoever. If I go into the settings on xscreensaver and tell it to lock the screen from there, it works (but that's not very convenient).

The screensaver does not kick in unless I manually go in and tell it to do so.
-I do have Nvidia drivers on the system.
-It's dual monitor, so xinerama was activated in configs.
-I've reinstalled the package a couple of times, just to be sure.
    -It's KDE4 on opensuse 11.2 64 bit.

Any thoughts that could get me in the right direction?
Thanks for any help folks can give me.

    Jon

And after the microsoft solution (reboot), it works just fine. Hrm.

    Oh well, problem solved.
