    what is this thing called "system settings". It gets mentioned a lot but I cant find it. I find nothing like this under KDE or Yast.

    Open a terminal and do this: systemsettings

    No, I really could not find it. But, I finally figured out that ConfigureDesktop is SystemSettings--at least that's what the banner says. Then under the Advanced tab, I was able to find the power management stuff. And, if it still keeps locking/screenaving, I will do the command line you suggested.
    No sarcasm intended--If it sounded that way, my apologies. Just couldn't find what all other "posters" could.

    There is a kernel screen blanker that if turned on will drive you nuts it takes 10 min to trigger and does not trigger if a normal screen saver is running. It drove me nuts in 10.1. I never could find where to turn it off. the commad is easy finding where is hard

    setterm -blank 0

    Thank You, it was driving me nuts and I knew it would be a power management thing ,but as a greenBie, had not a clue where to go to edit such.

    issue #2345.89 solved for this greenBie, I am getting schooled
