    Default How to purge

I am having a problem with VirtualBox and need to completely remove it with the purge option to clear out all the conf files so I can reinstall it from scratch. Zypper doesn't seem to have such a command. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Running opensuse 11.2, kde 4.3.

    sudo rpm -e VirtualBox

then nuke your own settings in your user's directory:

    mv ~/.VirtualBox ~/.VirtualBox.old

    Good luck.

Ok, I fixed my problem; after I posted this thread it occurred to me to do a search on this. I did and found a post that told exactly what to do and it worked. Seems I did not have some necessary packages installed, like make (it never occurred to me make would not be automatically installed).

Next time I will search first. Probably should kill this thread. Can the original poster do this, or does it take a moderator?
