    Default desktop won't boot

Desktop won't boot, instead I get a command line.

In red letters a couple inches up, it says /var filesystem inaccessible; and near the prompt, it tells me to manually repair filesystem. I don't know what happened, nor how the fix it. Any suggestions? Any will be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Question Re: desktop won't boot

Okay, maybe this thread should be in Install/Boot/Login -- sorry about that.

I just noticed that in "Upgrade/Supported From openSUSE < Upgrade(Redirected from Upgrade. This guide shows how to use zypper to do a live distribution upgrade of openSUSE . . .," mention is made regarding /var:

"4. Now execute full distribution update.

First, let zypper download all required packages:

    zypper dup -d

Please double check that the relevant partition holding /var/ does have enough free space (as reported by the above command)."

I'm pretty sure that when I last booted out of my intact 11.2, it was following the installation of some package. Did my /var burst from being too full? And, if so, what to do about it?
