    Question Import Untrusted GnuPG Key?....

Question about the message. Can I assume correctly that every package from the repos is safe to import the key and install?

Because I'm concern about the statement contained in the message like:

.....importing the key into your keyring of trusted keys allows the key owner to have a certain amount of control over the software on your system.

I don't want any features of any installed modules having control of my server. I always want to be able to know and/or notified if there changes need to be made.

Does the "Updater Applet" have control over update notifications of all the software on my system including the repos?

i wouldn't worry about it, its really just a more detailed/higher version of Windows Vista's UAC with "unidentified programs" for both of them, make sure you know what you are downloading and where from before you import/accept (packman is safe just a FYI)
