    Default Is there a Lame MP3 encoder for Gstreamer anywhere?

    Hi all. I'm new and had no idea where to ask this.

    I know MP3 = patents and all, but I was wondering if there's an unofficial repository that has a Lame plug in for Gstreamer. I've used Ubuntu for several years and this is available in one giant metapackage.

    Thanks.

    I know the lame library is available through the packman repo
    (Yast-->Software Repositories-->Add-->Community Repositories-->Packman).
    There may be a gstreamer plugin there too.

    I seem to have bumped into it and installed it by accident with one of the other Gstreamer packages, cause it's showing up in Banshee and Soundconverter now.

    Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
