Default Gnome: avi files unable to show file properties window

I'm using the release 11.2 with the gnome desktop. I've noticed that if I try to show file properties window for avi files, in order to change file association, a dialog message prompts to wait the creation of the properties windows and than nothing occurs.
Nautilus do not creates any preview thumbnail for Avi files, but I can play those videos correctly using Vlc.

I'm getting the same exact issue here too. Fresh install of 11.2 and can view .avi files in vlc, but can't get the Properties to open up.

I used to have problems with video thumbnails and with video properties, even submitted a bug about it https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=555589

But now everything is ok. Both, thumbnails and properties started to work at the same time. Maybe after I installed some packages or updates.
