Every few minutes I'm getting a crash notice that the screen locker has crashed. I believe it is associated with KDE4's screen saver, you tell me if that's correct.

I went to the screen saver tool dialog to be sure the 'require password' was turned off and the screen saver. The knotify still appears after a short length of time.

I have not been able to send an automated crash report because knotify needs some debugging packages installed. Here's the bug..

Application: KDE Screen Locker (kscreenlocker), signal: Segmentation fault
[KCrash Handler]
#6 0xb60c3fa1 in free () from /lib/libc.so.6
#7 0xb724772b in XFree () from /usr/lib/libX11.so.6
#8 0x08053f87 in _start ()

Knotify asks me to install debugging versions of libraries. This should not be not be necessary as my customers, i.e. average users moving from the M$-Windows to LINUX, expect things to mostly work. See the dialog below.

A new way of debugging needs to be invented for the entire OSS community. This will beat the competition. KDE is a good place to start this.

Here's their Knotify message...

"...It is easy to see which debug packages you are missing from looking at the backtrace. For example, take the following line from a backtrace:
...#6 0xb7975bdc in ?? () from /usr/lib/libkmailprivate.so.4
...The ?? indicates that the library libkmailprivate.so.4 does not have debug information, which might be available in separate debug packages. "
