Default GTK apps using wrong mouse theme in KDE4

Have an aero mouse them entered into KDE4.
For some reason all my GTK apps (firefox, thunderbird, Amule etc) will not adhere to this theme and seem to be using one specified in some GTK setting somewhere.

How can I force the GTK apps to use the KDE mouse theme settings?

I do have the gnome-control-center installed but there is no option there to change the mouse theme.

Apps don't seem to be adhereing the font settings either.

This problem began after I installed the gnome-control-center.

Can I fix this by reversing out the control center?

How do I find out what other dependencies it dragged in with it?

found my yast2 log and went and reversed everything out that I changed - seems to have done the trick.
