Default firefox bookmarks dead after konqueror adblock enabled

The issue - bookmarks in firefox fail to link to sites.
Possible cause - after adding the adblock filter to konqueror.

Prior to adding the filter the bookmarks worked fine in FF. This is the second time on two different installs this has happened. I have yet to locate any info on the issue. Has anyone else encountered this?

switching off the adblock filter had no effect

    SOLVED

    uninstalled firefox
    re-booted
Set filter to a blank list in konqueror (remove may have worked but this was my initial idea)
    re-installed firefox ( version 3.5.5)

    Issue no longer present!
