I tried using the below command
    title Windows
    rootnoverify (hd0,0)
    chainloader (hd0,0)+1

when i tried this i got the option windows but when i loged into that i am getting the print

    rootnoverify (hd0,0)
    chainloader (hd0,0)+1

    try this:

    Code:
    title Windows XP
    rootnoverify (hd0,0)
    chainloader +1
I'm guessing that the extra stuff on the chainloader line could be an issue

Are you sure that Windows is on /dev/sda1? Please post the output of

    sudo /sbin/fdisk -l
