I go to opensuse web site for download mpg player but
when I pressed on "click install"
this message appear after multi asks

An error occurred while initializing the software repository.
Details:
System management is locked by the application with pid 6953 (/usr/sbin/packagekitd).
Close this application before trying again.
Try again?

Hello,

this very often happens when the automatic updating applet is doing its work.

Wait a little until it's finished and try again.

Exactly. Your diagnose is correct. Only one software management tool can run at a time. So when the update applet checks for updates (e.g. direct after login), you can not use YaST > Software > software management. Either wait (as you did), or kill the applet.
