Default Opensuse 11.2 KDE keyboard shortcuts

    Hi,

I have always been an Ubuntu user before now. I decided to try KDE for the first time and installed OpenSUSE 11.2 RC1.

I am in the habit of using a lot of keyboard shortcuts but i am unable to find where i am supposed to configure them. Can you please direct me?

    Thanks.

Right click the menu (start) button
    Edit menu
You can config apps to run from shortcuts there

Otherwise System Settings - Keyboard and Mouse

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. This is exactly what i was looking for.

But how do you assign a shortcut to the menu itself. Sort of like the win key in Windows?

I'm not sure that's even possible
    There is Alt+F2 (krunner)
Try it and start typing the name of an app

To set a shortcut for the main menu, right click the menu and click into Application Launcher Settings. Click on Keyboard Shortcut and set it as you please. Note however that you can't set it as just the win key (meta). You can however set it as just f1 or f2, etc.

    Take Care,
