No recent updates for openSUSE 11.0 ?

Hi,

For the past couple of weeks i am receiving no updates for my openSUSE 11.0. I have both gnome and kde 3.5. The command:

zypper lr

gives:

| Alias | Name | Enabled | Refresh

–±--------------------------------------------±----------------------±--------±-------
1 | Index of /pub/packman/suse/11.0 | Packman Repository | Yes | No
2 | openSUSE-11.0-Updates | openSUSE-11.0-Updates | Yes | No
3 | repo-non-oss | openSUSE-11.0-Non-Oss | Yes | No
4 | repo_dvd | openSUSE_11.0_dvd | No | No
5 | repo_office | openSUSE_11.0_ooffice | No | No
6 | repo-oss | openSUSE-11.0-Oss | Yes | No
7 | repo-debug | openSUSE-11.0-Debug | No | No
8 | repo_local | openSUSE_11.0_local | Yes | Yes
The last entry is just for a directory in my local hdd. Since my bandwidth is limited, i download large sized rpms from elsewhere and put them in my local repo.

The commands:

zypper ref 2
zypper lu

keep telling me that there are no updates. The entries in my /etc/zypp/repos.d/openSUSE-11.0-Updates.repo are:

[openSUSE-11.0-Updates]
name=openSUSE-11.0-Updates
baseurl=http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.0/
path=/
type=rpm-md
enabled=1
autorefresh=0
gpgcheck=1
keeppackages=0
So is there something wrong or are the openSUSE folks too busy with the upcoming release ?

Thanks.

Hi,

I keep the refresh option disabled by default, because each time i boot my pc, the refresh option consumes some bandwidth. So once a week i use:

zypper ref 2

which then lists the available upgrades. After you said, i used Yast to refresh the updates repo and yet no updates are being shown. But Packman repo shows upgrades on being refreshed.

Am i missing something ?

I guess there ain’t any updates then.

Ha ha, a simple answer i guess !:slight_smile: I’ll again check for updates after a couple of weeks or maybe more, and maybe buzz the forum again if there are no updates.
