11.2RC1 - Pidgin

After upgrading from M8 to RC1, pidgin doesn’t start anymore. After reboot, it brings up keyring popup manager dialog window, and after entering the password, pidgin displays the following error:

davor@linux-82ra:~> pidgin
Pidgin 2.6.2 has segfaulted and attempted to dump a core file.
This is a bug in the software and has happened through
no fault of your own.

If you can reproduce the crash, please notify the developers

Please make sure to specify what you were doing at the time

Consequential attempts to start pidgin give the same error.

Any ideas? I guess it’s related more to keyring manager than to pidgin. I’m not familiar with the keyring mngr concept (I run opensuse 10.3 and pidgin without keystore). I am able to recreate the problem (after 'kill -9’ing  some processes which looked suspicious).

Any ideas? Maybe I need to re-initialize the keyring storage or whatever? How?

Any other ideas?

Thanks.

If you type pidgin in a terminal what displays in the terminal?

The error message surrounded with CODE in my original post.

No, thank you. I’ve posted a comment there, we’ll see…
