    Question Where is /etc/hostname?

    Can't find hostname to change the hostname.

    it's /etc/HOSTNAME

    kdesu kwrite /etc/HOSTNAME

    or

    gnomesu gedit /etc/HOSTNAME

    Got in /etc/HOSTNAME
    Code:
    linux-m8mo.site
    But in konsole i see <user>@linux-m8mo . Why is ".site" ?

    Leave the .site part and add what you want before it. Eg; Homer

    so it would be: Homer.site

    In you konsole this with show with your username@Homer

    Another way to change hostname is from YaST.
    open YaST and choose network and change the hostname there.
    Linux[openSUSE, KDE], PHP, MySQL, Wordpress, Tech News, etc :
