Question Adobe Air and OpenSUSE 11.2 RC1 KDE4

    Hi everybody.

Trying to install Adobe Air in my fresh install of RC1 and I'm getting an error about "The root its not given you rights to install this app" thing that its just dumb because kdesu appears perfect and ask me for the root password.

I need Adobe Air to continue the development of a multiplataform application and this is a strange wall because i never had this error ...

So, there is any workaround or something that I'm missing to get this working?

Thanks to everybody in advance and congrats to the all opensuse team for the amazing outstanding work that you are doing in this release

I just installed AdobeAIRInstaller.bin without any problems on RC1. Maybe you hit Ignore button by accident?

I had forgot to say that my system its 64bits ... Could be the architecture ?

dcengija, thanks but no, i start the installer, accept the contract, the install bar appears, and then appears the message about root and then exit.

    Thanks again in advance.

Sorry, I'm not of much help here, my system is 32-bits-

Yes, I'm getting similar this on my VM. Also using 64 bit arch. I think I recall being asked to install gnomekeyring on 11.1, or was it sled11? I wonder if this is a similar issue? Gnome-Keyring is installed on this machine.
The message reads : An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator.
I'm running the installer as root.
Desktop - OpenSuse 11.4 64 bit. LapTop - OpenSUSE 11.4, triple booting with Win7 and Splashtop OS
Linux is cool! Everything else is a VM.

Yes. I haven't tried on 11.2, but in 11.1 I needed a few 32-bit libs for it to run. Unfortunately, I don't remember all packages needed, but you need at least:

    *The 32-bit versions of gtk.
*And since you're using KDE, you need the 32-bit version of the core-libs (for kwallet).
*You also need 32-bit versions of the x.org libs.

Possibly more, but those are the ones I remember.

Here is the fix for KDE4, 64bit, Adobe Air doesn't work in Open Suse 11.2.
