    Question Can't access package management after fresh install.

    I just did a fresh install of OpenSUSE 11.1. It went without a hitch. However, I can't do any updates, or add any repositories. I keep getting the following message: “ Accessing the Package Management Failed. System management is locked by the application with pid 19892 (/usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base). Close this application before trying again. . . .”

    What can I do about that?

    Any help given me will be much appreciated. Thank you.

    Try opening a terminal and su and type killall y2base
    People who do not break things first will never learn to create anything
