    Got some errors saying some VLC packages couldnt be found on Packman repo servers, so i cancelled the updating.

    I could just use Mplayer though SMPlayer, its not worth taking your time for this little matter. I thank you deeply for helping a noob like me

    As you wish. If you want to post the errors I can look at them. Otherwise, no problem, you are welcome! Anytime

    Unconditional update can hurt the os sometimes. It should be handled with care.

    There is a kde43 now
    Index of /repositories/KDE:/43/openSUSE_11.1
    Though this is nothing to do with the VLC issue
    As far as I can tell there is no Community kde43 repo, so to work around that you may find it a bit difficult 'as noob'!

    See my comments here:
    KDE4.3.* Upgrade - HowTo - openSUSE Forums

    Personally, I would say wait for 11.2

    @conram
    We are just dealing with the Packman repo to bring in Packman versions for multi-media

    Yeah , i went a bit off-topic with the KDE thing.
    I will follow your advice and wait for 11.2

    The jump from 4.1.3 to 4.2 meant a big performance improvement to me. Opening folders, etc went alot faster, anyway, its better to wait than to end up with a mess.

    Thank you !!!! (Going to sleep, ill see this thread in the morning)
