    Default Installation on Dell Latitude D631

    Hello,

    Does any one install OpenSuse on Dell Latitude D631?? I have some problem with installation...

    When i start the installation process installation program has find all my equipmet and everithing was fine, but when installation trying to format hdd, i recieve error message...

    and after this i can't install any operation systems... i can't format partition... (i trying to install Vista, Alt Linux, FreeBSD 7.2)

    and when i trying to install Suse again the installer did't start, in the logs that error

    Maybe you should try adding "brokenmodules=pata_isapnp" at the boot time... without quotes offcourse.

    It seems you have a hardware problem. Is the HDD okay?
    Can you run a OpenSuse live CD?

    I have OpenSuse 11.0 running without any problems on my Dell Lattitude D630 (incl. wireless and 4 Gb RAM).
