    Hey Guys im new with this disto of Linux i usually use ubuntu. Anyways how can i find the ip address?

    One way would be to open a terminal window and run

    ifconfig

    You may need root privileges to run it.

    sudo: ipconfig: command not found

    It's not ipconfig (that's Windows).

    It's ifconfig (notice the 'f')

    the notification area (has two little computer things for its icon) and
    click 'Connection Information'.

    No, just type /sbin/ifconfig
    It's not in the regular user path, but for query purposes it's available
    w/o running w/root privs...
