How to enable KIPI plugins in Gwenview?

All of the plugin categories listed under the “Plugins” menu command show “No Plugin.” My software installation is as shown below, which includes the KIPI plugin software. I find no parameter in the Gwenview configuration dialogue that would enable plugins or point to a plugin directory.

Running:
openSUSE 11.1
KDE 4.3.1
Gwenview 2.3.1
kipi-plugins 0.1.5-65.14

How do I enable plugins in Gwenview? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Mmm… your “kipi-plugins” package seems to be for kde3 :-?

I think kde4 package of kipi is named “kde4-kipi-plugins” or something
similar.

strange 'cause I’m running a clean install of 11.2 and gwenwiew has no plugins available though kipi and gwenview are both installed from the kde4 factory repo.

gwenview-4.3.3-127.3.x86_64
kipi-plugins-0.8-28.5.x86_64

but effects are available and working in batch mode
