    Default ENCRYPT FULL HDD XP & OPENSUSE 11.1 WITH TRUECRYPT

    Hi,
    I have Opensuse 11.1 and windows XP on one HDD. I would like to be able to enctypt full HDD with truecrypt. Only thing is when i try it from windows truecrypt says it doesn't boot from partition its installed on.

    To remedy this is it possible to change from grub to windows bootloader for encrypting the HDD?

    When i installed truecrypt on Opensuse 11.1 there wasn't an option to encrypt full drive.

    Or is there another way of encrypting full HDD and both OS's.

    Many thanks, any help much appreciated.

    From what i remember TrueCrypt is able to encrypt Windows OS only. They say nothing about encrypting linux BUT linux has a native way of encrypting the system and the upcoming 11.2 will support that too (LVM based encryption). Mind that i mean any other partitions than the system's root partition. You can encrypt any other partition with LUKS.

    Have a look here:

    Encrypted Root File System - openSUSE
    How does a linux geek make love??

    - rtfm; unzip; strip; touch; finger; mount; fsck; more; yes; umount; zip; sleep;
