ATI Radeon HD 4530 - Jerky Scrolling

Hello All,

I have recently installed OpenSUSE 11.1 (64 bit) on my new HP Pavilion DV6-1240SA. There a few bits and pieces not working as hoped though mainly I’m having trouble with the driver for my ATI Radeon HD 4530 graphics card.

I have installed the ATI Proprietary drivers via their website and using the auto-install facility. It appears that the correct resolution has been set etc. though when scrolling through web pages for example, the screen is ‘jerky’.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Kind Regards,

Paul Smith.

Thanks ‘caf4926’.

Go to Yast - Hardware - Graphics and Monitor and set up in there.

If you use a LCD probably the best monitor option is the generic -->LCD and resolution for your screen

Currently your xorg file is showing you still using vesa:
