Wireless card not active

Can anyone point me in the right direction to set up my wireless? I couldn't get it going with Network Manager, so I hit up WCID but that can't even detect any. This sort of points to the wireless card not being recognized IMO, but I'm still pretty much a noob so I could be flat wrong...

So do you know any previous threads (I got to page 5 and gave up) off the top of your head that'd help me out, or have any pointers yourself...
