    Hello, who can tell me which suse 11.1 software I have to install on this notebook system?
    Samsung R70-T7100 Devin 15,4 Zoll WXGA Notebook (Intel Core 2 Duo T7100, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Nvidia Go8600, DVD+- DL RW, Vista Premium)

    Indeed openSUSE 11.1 x86_64, with the addition that you will need the nvidia proprietary driver to get full 3D etc. Read about this at NVIDIA - openSUSE.
    You might as well read some posts about dual booting Vista and openSUSE. It's better to know how to handle possible issues before you start.

    Like others said, I'd go for 64bit. Been using it for a few years now and everything works, including multimedia
