Default Can't remove item from task bar

I'm seeing a strange issue with my task bar where I have an item that I can't seem to get rid of. Right now the item says that it's "X on Desktop 1", but I've had other phantom applications showing there that aren't running. If I right click on it the only options that I get are the advanced option. The option for closing is not selectable.

I've tried removing the task bar and putting it back, removing the panel and putting it back and just recently I deleted my .kde4 folder to see if that would help.

Any ideas on what's going on here? It's kinda annoying.

    I'm running kde 4.3.1 release 163 on openSUSE 11.1.

    Thanks!

    In a console, try:

    ps -ef | grep <application name>
