M7: Not a pretty sight!

I’ve made two clean installations of M7 and come across some graphics
problems.

NVidia GeForce FX 5200: SAX2 adjustment of display position no longer
works. Display moved as I wanted but the saved new position was lost on
new logon. This had been working on M6 - I think for the first time.
Power-saving now worked, which it hadn’t with M6. One step forward, one
back.

Radeon HD 2400Pro: Basically a mess. Scrolling of images on Firefox
takes for ever. Also various crashes, none of which I have data on
because the debug software crashed before diagnostics could be produced
or, if that did work, the saving of the data crashed instead. Tried this
with and without updates from OSS factory.

None of these faults appeared on incremental updates to 7 from 6 on
these machines - but others did, hence the clean installs.

Not yet. Still trying to figure out whether I’ve got two separate problems
that are both hardware-related or a general problem or both. Although at
first there was no similarity between the symptoms, some errors from one
machine now seem to be appearing on the other.

Another reason for not reporting the bug(s) yet could be that I’m too
lazy. :wink:
