    Default Evolution Chinese Attachment

    When sending email with Chinese attachment by evolution, the email receiver can't see the attachment or with .dat file. Anything can I do to fix this problem?

    Do you mean the file name has chinese characters in it ?
    Did you try to rename it ?
    Does the mail server has some policy to exclude some file types, like ".dat" ?
    I sometimes need to send javascript files, and if I attach them directly, the server (MS Exchange server) will usually reject them for security reasons and the recipient won't see the attachment.

    Another workaround is to zip the file first, then attach it.
