Firefox failing to launch

After recent updates KDE 4.2.4r2,
Firefox has begun to not launch when using the icon in the
KDE 4 panel. If i open Yakuake and run firefox from the CLI it
always works…odd.

Check the icon settings. The application launcher settings may have changed. The easiest way would be just to remove it and add it again from the menu if it launches from there.
