It's coming !! Equalizer in Amarok
Today in Amarok's git release for Factory, the Equalizer is back. It's not working yet, due to phonon not being able to use it, but I guess that will be coming too...
I'll try to find out, follow and keep you posted.

Awesome! Maybe it will land in 11.2. My laptop speakers sound like **** without an equalizer.

My Laptop speakers are so cr Ap the equalizer will not make up for it. Headphones - Now we are talking!

Almost the same here. I bought a nice headphone set with separate volume/bass controls that kick butt. I'm using Exaile at the moment because the treble is too high with Amarok without an equalizer. I hat installing all those Gnome dependencies in KDE
