I need you help..!

Hi. I am quite new to linux. I am using openSUSE 11.1 and I connect to internet through a proxy server. I want to create a repository for multimedia and software installtion.I added a packman repository in the following way…As a su in the terminal I typed
‘zypper addrepo --repo http://packman.unixheads.com/suse/11.1/Packman.repo
It completed successfully. Then I opened the yast and then software repositories. I then downloaded the gpg key from
Index of /suse/11.1
and imoprted it in the repository.

Now the problem is that when I run the ‘yast software manager’, it displays the following error…

Download failed:
Download (curl) error for ‘http://packman.mirrors.skynet.be/pub/packman/suse/11.1/repodata/repomd.xml’:
Error code: Connection failed
Error message: Couldn’t resolve host ‘packman.mirrors.skynet.be’

When I click OK, it then displays the warning
There was an error in the repository initialization.
‘Packman’: |] Valid metadata not found at specified URL(s)

Please help me in this problem…
Waiting for your help.
Thanks…

You can also use yast>software>repositories to add/change repos.
The easisest way is for you to use yast and delete the repo you created and then click the add repo.
It the next dialogue box, choose ‘Community Repos’. It will bring up a lsit of all the repos listed in Additional YaST Package Repositories - openSUSE

Thanks a lot for the reply. I have successfully created the repository. Thanks.
