not found lilo.conf in /etc/ directory

Hi,
I have SuSE 11.1 installed on my linux desktop PC. I am in a way to find lilo.conf in /etc/ directory but it is not available in the that path. May I know why it missed ? Does it require any tools to be installed to get it?
Please help me.

The boot loader lilo went out of fashion and general use many years ago, grub is now the boot manager of choice.

The config file for grub can be found here - /boot/grub/menu.lst.

But a better way to manage it is to use the Yast control panel and under System -> Boot loader.

I am trying to use frame buffer and display data but no luck. I tried sample code given in
http://doc.trolltech.com/3.0/emb-framebuffer-howto.html
Could you please help me to enable frame buffer with GRUB and display some sample data.
Pls tell me what are the options I have to enable.

Support for frame buffer devices is now standard. I use it all the
time with my nVidia graphics adapter as I do not need to use 3D
acceleration. I compiled that program from the URL you mentioned, and
it worked on my normal system.

What graphics adapter do you have?
