    We are past openSUSE 11.2 feature freeze so breakages/regressions because of newly added features are unlikely. This doesn't say that there are no other possible causes like eg broken KDE trunk backports done upstream for the KDE 4.3.1 release...

    Perhaps not but installing the KDE4.3 Live CD as a fresh install was so easy that, unless you have a huge dependency on KDE3.5 or some less mainstream apps, you may find it a timesaver over trying to figure out how to do it any other way.
