Milestone 6 liveDVD?

Is there really a “liveDVD”?

It says here -

openSUSE News » openSUSE 11.2 Milestone 6 Released

Get Milestone 6 Today!

What are you waiting for? Grab the milestone release today! Downloads are available at software.opensuse.org/developer/ now.

Note, if you need to try the live DVD on a machine with no CD-ROM drive, you can copy it to a USB key with the following command:

dd if=image.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M

How do I get the liveDVD image then?

Get it like you said:
Either from software.opensuse.org/developer or
Index of /distribution/11.2-Milestone6/iso
Look for build 0235.

It must have been a typo since the only openSUSE live DVD is an openSUSE Education live DVD.

Bah! I was hoping for a real liveDVD with every app imagineable available :D.

I tried to put a comment about the live dVD wording being inaccurate, but

  • first - the web page only accepted part of my post, ignoring the sentence:

The following sentence should read “live CD” and not “live DVD”
“Note, if you need to try the live DVD on a machine with no CD-ROM drive, you can copy it to a USB key with the following comma”

*] second - the web page refused to accept any further , asking for the sum of one + two as a spam filter, and then refusing to accept 1 + 2 = 3 and hence not accepting any further posts/comments

it’s a conspiracy oldcpu! rotfl!

Probably failed because you took too long to figure out the answer and, in
the meantime, it had changed the question.

Undoubtably. The question was 1+2 = ? if I recall, and by the time I pulled found the calculator on my Windoze PC (at the office), changed the calculator from hex to decimal, … answered a call on the phone, typed in my password to unlock my screen saver, typed in the 1+2 in the calculator again … it was locked on me. :frowning: … Now if there was only a faster way to find the answer to 1 + 2 !! rotfl!rotfl!

This is not a live dvd but its close
Index of /repositories/openSUSE:/Factory:/Live/images

unzip the file and dd to a usb stick.
I tested with ms 5 and it worked as a complete install

Oh I thought I was really going delusional. I tried 9, nine, n-ine, oneeight, and even 45c48cce2e2d7fbdea1afc51c7c6ad26. None worked.
