Hi to all,
M4 worked fine on my main computor and laptop.
m5 worked on my laptop,video,sound ,kino,and Kdenlive.
but would install but boot after update could not find Kernel
default, and would not reboot.
M6 installed on my main computor but with no repos other than
cd/device.reinstalled on clean disk, now have repos but the package manager cannot open the repos.
No audio pop up problems.
found and installed a HP c5380
That aside is there anyway to change the package manager icon back to the hammer.on my monitor this new one is just a orange blob.
Rushman
Also how can you change to single click inside the package manager.
Main computor is is a quad core AMD940 black,8 gig memory.
Laptop is a lenovo 3000 V200 4 gig memory.
Given milestone6 has not been officially released yet, it would not surprise me if the repos have not been fully setup yet for doing what you just tried to do. Maybe wait until monday end of day, and then try again.
Take a look at post #23 here in this thread and see if it helps: KDE4.3 Yast Packages - openSUSE Forums
… and maybe ignore the rants along the way … myself and others in our rants have already done enough in contributing to the global warming. rotfl!
its a ant eater an aardvark to be precise. Yast got its own mascot a couple months ago.
to change it right click on the icon select properties and click on the icon on the right top corner
beleive the single click in yast is on the way to being fixed
What are the other mirrors for Milestone DVD ISO’s other than at the openSUSE Developer website (Software.openSUSE.org) ?
Plan on downloading M6 ISO tonight.
I apologise if this is not the correct place for this problem *(forum mods, pl feel free to move this post to relevant section if necessary) *
I am using gwget (GUI front-end to wget for GNOME) to download the oS 11.2 M6 DVD ISO from <http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/distribution/11.2-Milestone6/iso/>. The file size reported at the FTP server is 4.3 GB [1]. But gwget shows the Total Size as 313572 kB (313.572 MB). [2]
Is there a problem with gwget that reports a wrong file size; any other suggestions from those downloading the ISO ?
Has anyone done an install of oS 11.2-M6 from the DVD (ISO download of DVD). Does it install properly ?* (Since I have read that there is a bug in the installer & am presently downloading the 4.3 GB ISO.)*

Didn’t have any trouble installing from the DVD and the GRUB menu was OK -
