bios update help

how do you update bios form suse!
is your a place to get a scrip the run on suse and not ms win!

It is best not to update BIOS from any OS but from motherboard’s tools (newer motherboards have it).

It is best to update the BIOS from a floppy from dos mode. And it’s even better not to update unless the update will fix some problems you encounter.

I trying to get a 40 or 80 gb harddrive to work!
30 gb is not vary big!

the bios updater are all .exe I do not have eny ms win here eny more!

Honestly 80GB is not very big either. How old is this Mobo?

Are you getting the update from the manufacturers web site?

I use 36GB Raptors for the OS on my desktop system :wink:

You could try resetting the cmos on the motherboard with the jumper,
then remove the battery…??

@caf4926 yes it is a little different :X great drives too I’m at 33,180
odd hours for both and no errors…
